At age 10, Paul Alster became a professional musician and was soon in demand as a nightclub/cabaret entertainer.
Playing clarinet, soprano & alto saxophone, and singing (not all at the same time!), Paul enjoyed considerable success, culminating in a famous victory in the 1981 'British Cabaret Entertainer of the Year' competition.
Amongst a host of venues at which he performed, there were many appearances at the famous City Varieties Theatre in Leeds, at the Royal Festival Hall, London, as well as nightclub and cabaret venues in Britain and abroad.

At 17, Paul left the stage to concentrate on his broadcasting career, but returned to music during the late 1990's with his successful Tel Aviv-based band 'Jazz Me Blues'. Now, back in Israel, he still occasionally performs at venues around the country.
