Hello Paul, I just read your article about Anita Shkedi. Anita was my teacher, mentor and inspiration to become a therapeutic riding instructor. I participated in her course at the Wingate Institute. I had a center at Kibbutz Hatzor for almost ten years. It is due to Anita's influence that Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT, where I am Program Director ) in the USA, started one of the first programs for injured military Veterans in the States. We invited her to host a workshop for our instructors and volunteers in the summer of 2006 then strarted our "Heroes on Horses" program that September. Anita is and always will be a hero to myself and my center in the desert of Arizona. Thank you for a lovely article.
